It started with a single pack.

Like most collectors, we didn’t expect to fall this hard. We cracked open some Kayou cards on a whim—maybe it was the Naruto set, maybe My Little Pony — and something clicked. The artwork was stunning. The card stock felt premium. The chase cards were genuinely thrilling to pull.

So we bought more. And then more.

The obsession phase.

Pretty soon, casual collecting turned into full-blown research mode. We wanted to understand everything. What’s the difference between an SP and an SSP? How many tiers are actually in the Naruto hierarchy? Why does the Chinese collector community seem to know so much more than anyone else?

We dove deep — translating Chinese sources, mapping out rarity systems, tracking down production details most English-speaking collectors had never seen. The more we learned, the more fascinating Kayou became. This wasn’t just another card company. This was a manufacturing powerhouse with 70+ licenses, six production facilities, and some of the most sophisticated rarity engineering in the industry.

The gap we couldn’t ignore.

Here’s what we realized: there was almost no accessible information for English-speaking Kayou collectors. No consolidated guides. No community hubs. No place to geek out over pull rates or compare chase card artwork.

That felt wrong.

So we built one.

Tier 4 was born from a simple idea: everything we wished existed when we first started collecting. Comprehensive guides. Honest breakdowns. A place where newcomers could learn the basics and veterans could dive into the obscure stuff.

We’re collectors first. Researchers second. Community builders because someone had to be.

Welcome to Tier 4.
